(Providence, RI) -- Students at Brown University angry over the stop-and-frisk policy shouted down the New York City Police Commissioner on Tuesday. The Ivy League School was forced to cancel Ray Kelly's lecture on "Proactive Policing in American's Biggest City" when a hundred students and activists showed up to protest. They started shouting and chanting as the event began, ignoring Brown officials' requests to save their comments for a question-and-answer period. A federal judge recently ruled that stop-and-frisk violates the rights of minorities. New York City is appealing.
