(Fort Worth, TX) -- Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis is turning to a veteran Democratic operator to run her campaign. The Fort Worth state senator announced Sunday Karin Johanson will be her campaign manager, about three weeks after her bid launched. "The Washington Post" reports Johanson ran Senator Tammy Baldwin's successful campaign in Wisconsin last year. She also served as executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2006. Davis will face either Attorney General Greg Abbott or ex-Texas GOP head Tom Pauken in next year's election.
