Negligence Claim Filed In Death Of Arizona Firefighter

(Phoenix, AZ) -- A California woman is filing a 36-million-dollar negligence claim over the death of one of the Granite Mountain Hotshots who was killed fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona this summer. Marcia McKee said major mistakes were made which led to the deaths of 19 firefighters.
McKee, whose son Grant died fighting the blaze, is suing the state of Arizona, the city of Prescott and Yavapai County for 12-million dollars each. It's the first notice of claim filed by any of the families of the firefighters.
