(Undated) -- More details are coming out in connection with an American who's been missing in Iran since 2007. A lawyer representing the family of Robert Levinson says Levinson was investigating corruption involving government officials when he disappeared. The ex-FBI agent was supposedly looking into allegations that Iranian government officials were diverting petroleum funds and laundering the money through Canada. Levinson's whereabouts are unknown and it's not certain if he is even still alive. A video released in 2011 shows Levinson pleading for help, but doesn't say who's holding him or where. It's not clear if he was working for the CIA or a private firm when he went to Iran.
