(Austin, TX) -- Governor Rick Perry is standing firm on his belief Medicaid shouldn't be expanded in Texas. Perry says President Obama's visit to Texas yesterday was just a "desperate attempt to salvage his ill-conceived and unpopular program from a Titanic fate." The governor also says Texas needs flexibility to fix Medicaid without the federal government's intervention. Perry adds the healthcare law is failing not because of Texas, but because the law itself doesn't work.
