Apple Purchases Maker Of 3-D Technology

(Undated) -- Apple has purchased an Israeli company whose 3-D technology was used in the original Xbox. While Apple did not disclose what it paid for the acquisition, an Israeli newspaper says the deal was worth about 345-million dollars. PrimeSense recently announced that its sensor technology would be used in a three-dimensional scanner being built by 3-D Systems, which manufactures 3-D printing devices.
