(Washington, DC) -- Unemployment claims are up. The Labor Department says jobless claims rose 68-thousand last week to a total of 368-thousand. Economists had expected the number of claims to be 328-thousand. Meanwhile, retail sales rose strongly in November as automobiles and other goods sold well. The Commerce Department says retail sales increased by point-seven percent last month. It was the largest increase in five months.
