(Hearne, TX) -- People are demanding answers why a Central Texas cop shot a 93-year-old woman to death. A candlelight vigil was held last night in honor of Pearlie Golden in her hometown of Hearne. People say Golden was a nice woman, who had a smile for everyone and wasn't a bother. She was killed Tuesday night during a confrontation with Officer Stephen Stem. Police say Golden was holding a gun and refused to put it down. It isn't the first time Stem has shot someone to death. He killed a man in December 2012, but was cleared by a grand jury. He's currently on administrative leave.
