Attorney Expected To Plead Guilty To Bribery
(San Antonio, TX) -- An attorney in the middle of a federal investigation into corruption in Bexar County is expected to plead guilty to bribery. That's according to the "San Antonio Express-News." Charges were filed this week against defense attorney Al Acevedo Jr., who's accused of bribing Angus McGinty, when McGinty was the 144th District judge. McGinty quit last month amid claims that he manipulated cases to help Acevedo's clients in exchange for Acevedo fixing his personal vehicles.
