(Undated) -- Too many Americans are at risk of going hungry during the Holiday season. Reverend David Beckmann with Bread for the World Institute says cuts to the federal food stamp program take millions of meals off the table every day.
The Institute will release its 2014 Hunger Report on Monday. The group is urging Congress to restore food stamp funding, which was cut by about five-billion dollars this year. Beckmann said lawmakers can play an important role in ending hunger by focusing on a strong jobs agenda.
