\"American Hustle,\" \"12 Years A Slave\" Lead Golden Globe Nominees

(Beverly Hills, CA) -- The jarring historical drama "12 Years A Slave" and the 1970s con caper "American Hustle" are topping the list of nominees for the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards. Both films are vying for seven nominations each with "12 Years A Slave" nominated for Best Motion Picture Drama and "American Hustle" up for Best Motion Picture Comedy or Musical. Other nominated films in the drama category include "Gravity," "Captain Phillips," "Rush" and "Philomena." "Nebraska," "The Wolf of Wall Street," "Inside Llewyn Davis" and "Her" are also nominated in the comedy or musical category.

On the television side, "Breaking Bad" is nominated for Best Drama Series, along with "Downton Abbey," "House of Cards," "Masters of Sex" and "The Good Wife." Comedy nominees include "The Big Bang Theory," "Modern Family," "Girls," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "Parks and Recreation." Next year's Golden Globe Awards will present the Cecil B. DeMille Award to Woody Allen for his "outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment." Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been tapped to co-host the award again on Sunday, January 12th.
