(Los Angeles, CA) -- "Dallas Buyers Club" is coming up big at the Oscars. Both Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto took home Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor last night for their roles in the film. McConaughey played Ron Woodroof, a Dallas rodeo cowboy, who establishes the "Dallas Buyers Club" and sells non-FDA approved medication from Mexico to fight AIDS. Leto plays Rayon, a transgender woman who helps Woodroof establish the club. The movie is based off of a 1992 article in "The Dallas Morning News" published a month before Woodroof's death.
