Former President Stumps For Virginia Gubernatorial Candidate


(Dale City, VA) -- Former President Bill Clinton is making several campaign stops this week on behalf of a longtime friend who's running for governor of Virginia. The first came Sunday in Dale City, where Clinton introduced Democrat Terry McAuliffe as someone who will make an great governor for the commonwealth. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also campaigned for McAuliffe in Virginia a week ago. The candidate knows the Clintons from when he was the former president's chief fundraiser and from when he headed the Democratic National Committee. The gubernatorial election in Virginia is November 5th.
