(San Antonio, TX) -- A retired San Antonio police officer isn't getting a new trial after his conviction of sex assault on a five-year-old relative. The "Express News" reports the alleged victim recanted her story to investigators before the 1999 trial of Frank Navarijo. Prosecutors say that doesn't rebut any evidence jurors heard during the trial. The 75-year-old was sentenced to 20 years in prison and could seek an appeal at the federal level.
