Study: Military Families Face Financial Planning Hurdles

(Washington, DC) -- Military personnel and their families face some unique challenges in planning for their financial future. FINRA Foundation President Gerri Walsh says frequent deployments and credit card debt can drive up expenses for men and women in uniform.
The National Financial Capability Study's Military Report reveals more than a third of all service members also have student loans they are worried about paying off. Overall, the study found a military community that stacks up pretty well against its civilian counterparts when it comes to handling personal finances.
