(Undated) -- Oscar nominated actor Jesse Eisenberg will play Superman's arch enemy Lex Luthor in the upcoming "Man Of Steel" sequel. In announcing the casting catch on Friday, Warner Brothers and director Zack Snyder said "The Social Network" star has the chops they're looking for to bring the complexities of the Luthor character to the big screen. Warner Brothers also announced Oscar winner Jeremy Irons in the role of Bruce Wayne's trusted butler Alfred. The cast also includes Gal Gadot, who will help Wonder Woman make her big screen debut. Ben Affleck will play the Bruce Wayne-Batman roles, while Henry Cavill will reprise his roles as Superman and Clark Kent.
The still-untitled "Man Of Steel" sequel was originally set to arrive in theaters in 2015 but was recently pushed back to May 2016.
