Lawyer Pleading Guilty In Bribery Case
(San Antonio, TX) -- A lawyer suspected of bribing a district judge at the Bexar County Courthouse plans to plead guilty. The "Express News" reports defense attorney Al Acevedo, Junior has worked out a pre-indictment plea deal in connection to the bribery investigation. Former 144th District Judge Angus McGinty resigned last month after being accused of manipulating cases to help clients of Acevedo in exchange for repair work on McGinty's vehicles. Acevedo has not been charged.
