Michael Phelps Happy To Be Back In Pool
(Irvine, CA) -- The greatest swimmer in Olympic history is glad he retired and he's happier to be back in the pool. Michael Phelps is competing in four events in the U.S. National Championships, which begin today in Irvine, California.
Phelps retired from competition after the 2012 Olympics. The man who won 18 Olympic gold medals and 22 overall says he got bored pretty quickly. He told USA Today he's happy to have structure back in his life. Phelps started training last year and her returned to competition this spring.
