Obama Signs Big Water Projects Bill
(Washington, DC) -- President Obama claims a massive water bill will create many jobs across the U.S.
The President signed legislation providing more than 12-billion dollars for waterways infrastructure projects. He said the bill will rebuild bridges and expand ports, in addition to restoring the Florida Everglades. Obama noted that the measure will help many coastal communities prepare for the effects of climate change. He also called on Congress to pass a sweeping transportation bill to fund highway renovation. Obama warned that funding for thousands of highway projects will run out by the end of the summer without congressional action.
