Preliminary Hearing Set For Darren Sharper

Preliminary Hearing Set For Darren Sharper
(Los Angeles, CA) -- A preliminary hearing date for former NFL Pro Bowler Darren Sharper in regards to the rape charges he faces is set to be determined next month. Sharper appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Friday morning. Officials say Sharper is due back in court on June 10th for a preliminary hearing setting date and an extradition hearing. Sharper's attorneys have filed a motion demanding L.A. County prosecutors turn over more details of their investigation. The former NFL safety is being held without bail after being charged with raping two women after allegedly drugging them in West Hollywood.

Sharper learned this week he will not face assault charges in Florida after prosecutors determined there was insufficient evidence. In total, he's accused of raping eight women in four cities, including West Hollywood, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Tempe, Arizona.
