Schumer Calls On FEMA To Help Long Island Flood Victims

(Islip, NY) -- New York Senator Chuck Schumer is calling on FEMA to help Long Island flood victims following Wednesday's record rainfall. He said his first reaction when he heard about communities like Islip being inundated with more than 13-inches of water was, "Oh my God, another Sandy." Schumer says he'll make sure the feds bail out water-logged Long Islanders. Most of the Nassau and Suffolk homeowners affected have learned that their homeowners' insurance won't help them because they did not have flood insurance.
