Sinkhole At Corvette Museum To Be Filled

(Bowling Green, KY) -- A sinkhole that swallowed eight expensive cars inside the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky will be filled. The board had intended to keep part of the hole open after it proved to be a tourist attraction that sharply increased attendance at the museum in Bowling Green, but reconsidered after learning the cost would exceed one million dollars. The sinkhole measuring 40 feet wide and 60 feet deep opened in February and sucked up eight vintage Corvettes. Attendance over the next four moths rose 59 percent from the same period a year earlier.
