Suspect Arrested In McCreery Robbery
(Raleigh, NC) -- A 19-year-old man is in custody in connection with the home invasion robbery that rattled country singer Scotty McCreery and his friends early Monday morning. Police in Raleigh, North Carolina say the suspect, Mikkail Jamal Shaw, turned himself into police Tuesday night. He has been charged with armed robbery and conspiracy. Police are still searching for other suspects. McCreery won Season Ten of "American Idol" in 2011. He was visiting an apartment near North Carolina State University, where he's a student, when three armed men broke in and made off with cash and other valuables. No one was hurt during the incident.

McCreery took to Twitter Monday to share that he had had a "scary night." He also thanked the Raleigh police department for their quick response.
