(San Francisco, CA) -- Traffic across Europe is recovering after taxi drivers held rallies today to protest Uber. Taxi drivers in cities like London, Paris and Berlin blocked roads and snarled traffic to demonstrate against the service that lets customers book rides through smartphones. The strikes might have had the opposite effect that drivers were looking for. "The New York Times" says downloads of Uber's smartphone app in Europe have skyrocketed since the strikes were first announced last month.
