(Washington, DC) -- Embattled Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki is ordering a nationwide review of VA health clinics. Shinseki is under fire over levels of patient care at VA clinics in Arizona and Colorado. Dozens of veterans may have died while waiting for appointments to be set at the VA clinic in Phoenix. Meantime, Shinseki is expected to testify next week in a Senate hearing. The retired Army general, is resisting growing calls to resign. Shinseki got a vote of confidence from the White House this week and Republican House Speaker John Boehner said he would not join the chorus of people urging Shinseki to step down. Boehner said problems at the VA are longstanding and systemic.
